By Train 
A good train service (with sleeper accommodation at night) runs daily between London and Inverness. Trains run from Inverness to Lairg where there is a bus service to Lochinver.

There is a bus service between Inverness and Ullapool which connects with the Stornoway Ferry. A limited bus service operates daily between Ullapool and Lochinver.
